Magnetic separators for industrial use

A magnetic separator is a device that uses strong magnets to remove ferromagnetic contaminants from bulk and liquid materials. It is used in industry, manufacturing, recycling and food processing, helping to protect equipment, improve material quality and reduce the amount of metal contamination.

  • removes ferromagnetic contaminants from materials,
  • improves production quality,
  • protects machinery and conveying equipment,
  • can be manual or automatic,
  • is available in many designs depending on the application.

Magnetic separator

A magnetic separator is a device that uses strong magnets to remove ferromagnetic contaminants from bulk and liquid materials. The separator generates a high-intensity magnetic field capable of capturing even very small metal particles.

Magnetic separators can be used before, during or after production. They can be adapted to the type of material being processed and the required result. Although they are mainly used in industry, their operating principle is universal and highly effective.

Advantages of a magnetic separator

Magnetic separators are highly effective and can be adapted to remove different types of magnetic material from both liquid and bulk mixtures. They are versatile, reliable and, with proper maintenance, have a very long service life.

Disadvantages of a magnetic separator

The main disadvantage of a magnetic separator is the need for regular maintenance. Manual systems require the captured contaminants to be cleaned off regularly. With some equipment, it is also advisable to monitor moving parts and make sure they operate smoothly.

We manufacture both manually cleaned separators and automatic versions that save time and improve operating convenience.

Types of magnetic separators

Plate / overband separators

These separators use magnetic plates positioned close to conveyor belts. They capture ferromagnetic particles and are used, for example, in recycling and manufacturing operations.

Drum separators

Magnetic drum MB

They are designed to separate ferrous materials from material travelling on a conveyor belt. The material passes around the drum and the magnetic field separates metal particles from non-magnetic material.

Magnetic grids

Magnetic grid for a hopper

Magnetic grids are used to separate very fine ferromagnetic particles. They are made from stainless steel and contain powerful neodymium magnets in the core.

Pipeline separators

Pipeline separators have an oval shape and are installed in piping systems. They remove tiny metal particles from liquids and are often used in food processing or cement production.

Slide-out magnetic separator

Chute separators

Chute separators are used to remove larger magnetic particles during free-fall material flow or when separating material under pressure in piping systems. They are also suitable for oily and sticky materials.

Cascade magnetic separators

These separators are used to remove large quantities of magnetic material. Each cascade section has its own magnet and the particles are captured on the walls of the unit. The number of cascade stages is selected according to the specific application.
