The quickest option is to place the magnet directly onto a ferromagnetic surface. No adhesive, drilling or additional mounting components are required, and the magnet can be repositioned at any time.

It holds best on clean, smooth, flat and sufficiently thick steel. Holding force is reduced by paint, coatings, plastic, rubber, rust, unevenness or an air gap.
